Fall is in full swing at Shindig Farms in Nampa. The local family farm is open for its 2026 fall season with a pumpkin patch, Idaho’s largest straw maze, wagon rides, slides, zip lines and plenty of activities for kids and adults.
And once October arrives, things get a little scarier.
Shindig Farms’ Haunted Straw Maze returns for just 10 nights in October, beginning Friday, October 2.
Here’s what to know before you go.
The 2026 Straw Maze & Pumpkin Patch season runs from September 12 through October 31. Shindig Farms is closed on Sundays.
September and October weekdays
Monday through Thursday: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
September weekends
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
October weekends
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The farm is located at ID-45 and Scism Road in Nampa. Free parking is available on site.
The pumpkin patch and straw maze may be the headliners, but there is quite a bit more to do.
General admission includes the straw maze, wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, giant slides, medium and mini slides, zip line, barrel ride, jump pads, corn pit, duck racing, mini maze, hamster wheel, tire wall and other activities.
Some attractions, including the mechanical bull, swing ride, corn cannon and axe throwing, cost extra.
Food vendors, snacks, drinks and seasonal treats are also available, although vendors can vary by day.
One of the biggest attractions at Shindig Farms is its straw maze.
The maze has walls approximately eight feet high and typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes to navigate. Admission to the regular straw maze is included with general admission.
Families visiting with younger children can enjoy the regular maze during the day without the scares that arrive later on haunted nights.
A wagon ride to the pumpkin patch is also included with general admission.
Shindig Farms says its patch features more than 15 varieties of pumpkins. Pumpkins are purchased separately from admission. Wagon rides and access to the pumpkin patch end at dark.
That is worth remembering if picking pumpkins is one of the main reasons for your visit. Don’t wait until late in the evening to arrive.
This is where Shindig Farms changes after dark.
The Haunted Straw Maze takes place Friday and Saturday nights during October. For 2026, there are only 10 haunted nights:
October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31.
The scares begin at 8 p.m. The final haunted-maze tickets are sold at 10:30 p.m.
The regular straw maze closes early on haunted nights so it can be transformed for the evening.
This isn’t simply the regular maze with a few Halloween decorations.
Shindig Farms describes an immersive haunt with live actors, fog, strobe lighting, sound effects, dark pathways and themed scare areas throughout the maze. Actors may get close to visitors, but they do not touch guests.
Shindig Farms recommends the Haunted Straw Maze for ages 12 and older. Children younger than 12 must go through with a paying adult, and the attraction is not recommended for young children.
If you have little ones, the daytime farm and regular straw maze are likely the better choice.
Regular fall admission varies depending on the day:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: $13 plus tax
Cheap Tuesday: $9 plus tax
Friday and Saturday: $15 plus tax
Children age 3 and younger are free with at least one paying adult.
On haunted nights, admission to the farm without the haunt is $15. A Haunted Straw Maze ticket is $25 and includes farm admission and the haunted maze. Visitors who already purchased regular admission can upgrade to the haunt for an additional $10 at the door.
Pumpkins, food and certain mechanical activities cost extra.
Shindig Farms is an outdoor farm attraction, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. Paths include dirt, gravel and grass, and the Haunted Straw Maze can include dark and uneven areas.
If you’re going primarily for the pumpkin patch, arrive before dark because the wagon rides and pumpkin patch close at dusk.
For the Haunted Straw Maze, expect louder sounds, fog, strobe lighting and more intense scares. Shindig Farms advises against the haunt for people who are pregnant, have heart conditions or are prone to seizures.
Accessible parking is available near the entrance. The farm’s paths are a combination of gravel, dirt and grass, and the regular straw maze pathways are approximately four to six feet wide.
