Parade America

Join the celebration of patriotism and community spirit at Nampa’s Parade America each May in Downtown Nampa. This free event is perfect for families. Enjoy colorful floats, marching bands, antique cars, horses, and military tributes. The parade route begins near Nampa High School and ends near Northwest Nazarene University. A ribbon-cutting ceremony precedes the parade, followed by a thrilling F-15 jet flyover.

God and Country Festival

Celebrate faith, freedom, and community at Nampa’s annual God and Country Festival—held the Wednesday before the 4th of July at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater. This free, family-friendly event features live music, inspiring speakers, food vendors, civic and military tributes, and ends with a stunning fireworks show at 10 PM. Gates open at 5:30 PM, and parking is $5. 

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the evening!

Nampton's Beer Festival

A vibrant celebration of craft beer, community, and good times in Downtown Nampa. Every year in late May, Lloyd Square Park hosts this event. It has a variety of craft brews, tasty food trucks, and live DJ entertainment. Attendees can enjoy the festive atmosphere, sample a variety of beers, and savor tasty bites from local vendors. It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer season with friends and neighbors.

Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treating

Downtown Nampa turns into a Halloween wonderland for the annual Trick-or-Treating Block Party! 

Kids in costumes—ghosts, superheroes, and princesses—fill the streets. 

Local shops are ready. They’re giving out candy with a festive flair. Enjoy bounce houses, a straw maze, food trucks, live music, and free train rides. 

It’s a night full of fun, laughter, and sweet memories. 

Safe, exciting, and unforgettable—don’t miss this magical community tradition!

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Kick off the holiday season with Nampa’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting, held the Saturday after Thanksgiving in Downtown Nampa. 

Festivities begin at 5:00 PM with performances by the Encore Theatre Carolers, the Boys & Girls Club of Canyon County choir, and a community sing-along led by pianist Nick Monteiro. The tree lights up at 6:00 PM, followed by visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the Nampa Train Depot. Enjoy free carriage rides, storytime with Mrs. Claus at the library, and the Winter Wonderland Market at Lloyd Square. It’s a festive day of shopping, music, and community cheer!

Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic

Just a short drive from Nampa, the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is one of the Treasure Valley’s most memorable seasonal events. Held each Labor Day weekend at Ann Morrison Park, the five-day festival fills the sky over Boise with colorful hot air balloons.

Visitors can watch the balloons inflate and launch during early-morning flights, meet the pilots and attend special activities throughout the week. Highlights include free tethered rides for children during Kid’s Day and the popular Friday evening Nite Glow Spectacular, featuring illuminated balloons, food vendors, live music and family activities. Just a short drive from Nampa, the Caldwell Night Rodeo is one of the Treasure Valley’s biggest summer traditions. Held every August, the five-night event brings top professional cowboys and cowgirls to Caldwell for bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, roping, steer wrestling, and more.
